Apple (AAPL) is the world’s largest publicly traded company by market capitalization, regularly exceeding $3,000 billion in valuation. Founded by Steve Jobs in 1976 in Cupertino, the company has become much more than an electronics manufacturer: it is a complete ecosystem spanning hardware (iPhone, Mac, iPad, Watch), services (App Store, iCloud, Apple Music, Apple TV+), and technology infrastructure.
For prop firm traders, Apple is one of the most liquid and predictable U.S. stocks. Its daily volatility of 2–5 USD represents a move of 1–2.5% in relative terms—moderate for an individual stock, but enough to generate meaningful profits with effective leverage management.
The main catalysts for AAPL price movements are quarterly earnings releases, product launch keynotes (iPhone, MacBook), global sales data (particularly in China), and developments in the services business (App Store growth, Services MRR). Apple is also highly sensitive to U.S.–China trade tensions because of its supply chain in Asia.
Apple stock generally follows the Nasdaq 100 (NAS100), but can diverge around earnings releases or major product announcements. Traders who anticipate these events can gain concentrated exposure with a higher risk/reward profile.
On TopTraderPrime, AAPL is available with a spread of 0.05 and leverage of 1:20 during the U.S. session (15:30–22:00 CET).
